PULSE Dance Decoded by Jane Wellford and the Dance Improvisation class

Professor of Dance Jane Wellford and students from her Dance Improvisation class demonstrate how improvisation can be used to create choreography in their Dance Decoded demonstrations before performances of PULSE: The Spring Dance Concert on Friday March 11 and Saturday March 12 at the McCrary Theatre. Professor Wellford explained how instinct and impulse, combined with consideration of Laban Effort Factors such as space, weight, time, and flow, lead to improvisational movement explorations.
