Assistant Professor of Dance Renay Aumiller and student dancers from the Elon Dance Company explain how they created movement phrases in the rehearsal studio that became part of Aumiller’s choreography in her work “The Biggest Fan” in their Dance Decoded talk and demonstration for PULSE: The Spring Dance Concert on March 12, 2016 at the McCrary Theatre. The dancers showed how dance phrases repeat and develop in the piece, which builds a humorous narrative through movement, speech, and props.
